Mr. Clean Powerwashing has professional equipment that uses over twice as much water per minute than a homeowners. Using that much water allows us to turn the pressure down. Homeowners equipment uses much less water but at a higher pressure. That high pressure can do a lot of damage to their wood. Mr. Clean uses a Chemical along with the water flush, providing our customers with a deck much cleaner than powerwashing alone can provide. Every detail of your deck is cleaned from the floor, to decorative railings.
Mr. Clean Power Washing uses Chemical Strippers to help alleviate old semi transparent sealers from the deck. Old Semi Transparent Sealers that have been worn by the sun will emulsify allowing our power washers to flush the old sealer away without harming the wood. The chemical will also remove sun damage from raw wood, mold and mildew. Our Chemicals are purchased from chemical companies. They are much more effective than deck cleaners you can buy at large chain hardware stores. They are safe to be used near plants and animals
The chemical will clean paint, but not dissolve paint. Therefore, it is safe to use on decks attached to painted homes. With that said, it will also not remove paint on painted decks.
Will the chemical stripper remove everything 100% from my wood?
NO. Here is a list of what the Chemical will NOT remove:
Sealers that are in the shade, not deteriorated from the sun. Areas of your deck such as around a corner, under a piece of furniture or bench, under a mat, under a pot or even under a grill.
Sealers that were painted or rolled on tend to have overlap marks. This is even more true next to the house and around edges. People tend to over-work these areas. Our Chemical will remove the top layer that has been deteriorated, but the under layer was protected and will remain. Note, we do not use the power washer as a chisel. Whatever the chemical dissolves will come be power washed away
Products on so heavy they peel or flake off.
If your old product does not remove completely, we recommend sanding.
Elevation Fee $75.
Why is there an elevation fee?
Elevated decks are more difficult and add extra time to our jobs. An elevation fee will be added if one or more sides of your deck is more than 5.5 feet off the ground.
These decks are more difficult and timely because we want to do a fantastic job and that includes doing a good job on the outside rails that cannot be reached from ground level. We often have to protect areas under the deck and we always have extra more difficult clean up including the home siding both under the deck and on the second story. All this is not work that has to be done on ground level decks.
What was last product applied to your deck?
Often people have the old cans in their garage or basement. If you can't find an old can, see if you can answer any of the questions below:
• Is the deck a defined solid color?
• Does the old product peel off on the floor or top hand rail?
• Does the color allow you to see the wood grain through it? Sometimes it is darker on the edges but the center of the deck looks like all the product is gone.
• Does it have a shine to it but is peeling or flaking off?
• Does your deck look old and grey?
• Is your deck new? If so, is the wood cedar or wolmanized?
Is your deck elevated?
Do you need repairs done to your deck?
We are able to do small repairs such as removing rotted floor boards and replacing them with new. However, if removing a part of the railing system is involved, we cannot do the job. We are a power washing company, not a construction company. We are unable to do anything with railings, structure related and foundation related. We are happy to do anything that will expedite getting your job done as long as it does not require a permit to be acquired
How to measure your deck?
We base our price on the flat square footage, spindles and railings are included. So we only need to know the area of your floor (walls above the floor and wall built around the base of the deck would be additional).
